Activity Introduction:

A sportive tournament will be held in order to increase students’ sense of belonging and class participant, collaborative ability and sport discipline. 

Content:

This activity will be carried out with the organization of three predetermined sports events (Volleyball, Basketball, Football) with multinational student groups. Each team will have at least one student from each country. In addition, students of the local eTwinning partner institution, which will be included by the host institution, will also be included in the tournaments. Students will start training on these sports skills set at least 3 months before the mobility. Tournaments will be organized in public, especially families will be invited.
Hosting school will be responsible for the official announcements and the arrangement of the areas where the tournaments will be held.

Expected results:

A hanbook on ‘Sports, Inclusion, Peer Interaction and School Success’: A literature review will be conducted on the effects of sports as a social activity on students, its effect on social inclusion and adaptation to school, its contribution to peer interaction and academic success. And this handbook will be prepared by including the observations made during the mobility in this literature review. School Curriculum: The ‘Sports, Inclusion, Peer Interaction and School Success’ handbook can be used as “a guide" on how to integrate sports into the curriculum to ensure social inclusion and school adapting, to increase academic achievement of students. 

*The students attending this mobility will have opportunity to; 

– develop a sense of belonging, 

– increase peer interaction 

– adapte to school and society 

– learn the contribution of sports discipline and systematic working skills to academic success, 

– gain the ability to internalize the sense of sport and fairplay, 

– gain the ability to congratulate when they loss and to be happy when they win 

– improve foreign language skills by living 

 – develop the ability to use foreign currency 

– see the educational environments of the host school 

– develop European citizenship awareness 

* Participating teachers will have opportunity to; 

-improve language skills
-respect cultural differences 

-observe the educational environment of the host school and integrate good practices into their own curriculum 

-to integrate sport into their cirruculum to ensure social inclusion and school adapting, to increase academic achievement of students.
