Activity introduction:
Students will be able to express themselves with art and an art exhibition will be prepared.

Content:

Two months before activity,students will visit historical places, museums, natural beauty places and cultural sites of the region they live and then will take lots of photo. Also they will collect some some objects, symbols reflecting the culture of the region they live. Students will exchange their photos, symbols and objects and they will tell cultural value and stories of these places and objects. After this intense cultural interaction, Polish English teacher and art history expert Irmina Weychan will teach students how to make objects from clay dough. Students will design, create, color and bury artifacts and thus, they’ll link the past with the future and last day of the LTT, the students will dig out buried artifacts and exhibit them at “Art Exhibition". There will also be 4 multinational student teams consisting of one student from each partner, will choose one of the themes such as peace, friendship, cultural values, tolerance and respect and paint. They will exhibit their paintings in the Art Exhibition where parents will be invited. Also photos and videos of these the paintings and artifacts will be uploaded to Artsteps 3D Museum. 

Expected results:

The handbook on "Art, Inclusion, Peer Interaction and School Success’: A literature review will be conducted on the effects of art as a social activity on students,its effect on social inclusion and adaptation to school, its contribution to peer interaction and academic success. The handbook will also include the observations made during the mobility in this literature review and it can be used as “a guide" on how to integrate art into the curriculum to ensure social inclusion and school adapting, to increase academic achievement of students.
School Curriculum: The 3D Virtual Exhibition. We can’t go mobility with all students but by the help of this virtual exhibition we can provide same exhibition area for each student in partner school. So we can increase their cultural awareness and sense of belonging. 

In this 3D Virtual Museum we will add: 

– photos of students exchanging 

– artifacts made by students from clay dough 

– Paintings made by students with multinational groups 

*The students attending this mobility will have opportunity to; 

– develop a sense of belonging 

– increase peer interaction
– adapte to school and society 

– have the ability to express themselves with art 

– develop social communication skills 

– learn the contribution of art on academic success through collaborative working ability 

– provide self-confidence development 

– develop their creativity 

– develop foreign language skills  

– increase a cultural awareness via visiting cultural,historical and natural places 

– bond the past to the future via different cultural activities, 

– link the past to the future via visiting historical and cultural sites

– develop the ability to use foreign currency 

* Participating teachers will have opportunity to; 

– improve language skills 

– respect cultural differences 

– observe the educational environment of the host school
