Activity introduction:
The aim of this mobility is to organize a Concert consisting of 10 songs in common languages (English). One song will be selected in the mother tongue of the partner countries and in the mother tongue of the refugee students (Ukraine and Syria). These songs will be themed on peace and friendship, expressing harmony and integrity.
Content:
The notation study of the determined songs will be prepared by the music teachers will be shared on the twinspace. A soloist,2 chorist and 1 students playing the instrument will prepare for the songs determined 3 months ago and a Concert organization will be carried out as a result of rehearsals. Also,a lesson on language teaching with CLIL method will be prepared.Participating students and teachers will be taught applied CLIL methodology. Foreign language education will be done through music with word games prepared with the Cram tool, consisting of the words in the songs. There will be a big concert at school garden, all students in the host school,official administrations and parents will be invited to our Multinational Student Concert.The host country will upload all the rehearsal and concert recordings to the video channel to be prepared for the project.
Expected results:
A handbook on ‘Music, Inclusion, Peer Interaction and School Success’: A literature review will be conducted on the effects of music as a social activity on students,its effect on social inclusion and adaptation to school, its contribution to peer interaction and academic success. And a handbook will also include the observations made during the mobility in this literature review and it can be used as “a guide" on how to integrate music into the curriculum to ensure social inclusion and school adapting, to increase academic achievement of students.
School Contribution: The digital games prepared in this meeting will be used as learning material in foreign language lessons. Language development will also be provided by the CLIL method. As a social activity, it will be ensured that music increases academic success and personal development.
